Hedieh is a creative individual who is motivated by a good challenge. She believes that a positive attitude is the key to maximizing one’s potential. Prior to immigrating to Canada in 2004, she spent much time exploring the north, west and central provinces of her home country Iran, as well as some of the major cities in Switzerland.After moving to Vancouver, she continued to explore North America by going on road trips and participating in events in other cities.
In 2009, Hedieh traveled to Korea for the first time. This trip had such a lasting impact on her that she decided to quit her full-time career in the education sector and take up residence. She came to Capilano University as a full-time student in Tourism Management Degree program in 2010. Hedieh took one year off from school in 2011 to move back to Korea to study the language and culture at Sookmyong Women’s University. During her time in Korea, she traveled around the country fostering significant connections with the people and culture.
Currently, Hedieh is in her fourth year in the Tourism Management program at Capilano University. She is passionate about understanding the different ways of being on the planet. She hopes to help increase awareness and tolerance toward endangered cultures by pursuing a career in cross-cultural examination and training.
