Natalia pisarek, STUDENT VOLUNTEER
Natalia has an aptitude for soaking up information. She loves learning about cultures and examining how services, ideas and people move across the landscape. Natalia studied geography at UBC, completing her BA in 2012. While at UBC, she had the opportunity to participate in a number of dynamic research projects, including a comparative waste management analysis for Vancouver International Airport.
Currently, Natalia is a student in the Outdoor Recreation Management Program at Capilano University and aspires to preserve natural spaces and wilderness. She is passionate about environmental stewardship and applies a strong environmental focus to her work.
Natalia is known for being a resourceful coordinator and a supportive team member. She has gained a breadth of experience in community development from a variety of roles, including camp supervisor, education coordinator and youth volleyball coach. Currently Natalia is the PowerWorks student intern at Capilano University and works closely with a team of other students, faculty and staff to embed energy conservation into curriculum and campus life.
Natalia is thrilled to be part of the 2016 CBT Vietnam team. She is excited about collaborating with her teammates and the project partners to support Sapa locals.
